Updating the phone is taking _forever_. Looks like I still have over 4500 songs/words to move. Hmm, I wonder if I washed my camping pots and pans... Aaron is brewing beer. Well, he's doing the first step in the process, whatever that may be. I should do some wine stuff, but I'm leaving in 45 minutes. Well, now, anytime.

I'm all revved up and ready to go. And slightly tired.. Mmmmm, licorice.

So, Tuesday night, I tried to update my iPhone with the new drivers. It didn't work. Phone was out of commmission. I talked to mac tech support (or was on hold) for 1 hour, 42 minutes. Luckily, Aaron had a cell phone. I guess it would be good to try to get one of those computer telephone thingies for emergencies like that (cell phones down, have no home phone). Regardless. 1 hour, 42 minutes later, my phone still didn't work, so I went to sleep. I was able to update my phone on the 2nd computer at work (the first one failed the TWO HUNDRED MEG update download 200 megs. It took 30ish minutes on the one that did get the download)... I could sync my gmail contacts (yay!). Nothing else. No big deal. I get home, start to upload my bazillion songs. Forgot to log my laptop into my desktop drive with the music. Synced (took a few hours) 4000 9-12 second spanish words. Day two, I logged in, wanted to start syncing the music. Hours pass, a few hundred or so songs get updated... I decide I want my ringtones. Uncheck the music file, since I really want the ringtones. Wait for the sync. All of my songs are gone, and will need to be (slowly and painfully) synced. So, now I'm copying song 318 of 7111 songs (and spanish words). This is going to suck. I think the reason my update failed is linked to possibly poor USB stuff (maybe USB1 instead of USB2). This may be why the sync is so painfully slow. Do I care enough to bother with a new computer? up to 553 songs.. of 7111... sigh

Wow.. I forgot to post that already. I should get to bed.

Bought two new (well old) Sol Invictus albums today. Sol Veritas Lux and The Devil's Steed. The only album we have so far is In The Rain. So, I wonder how similar these albums will be. I even rode to Digital Ferret for the music. It is Monday, they're open till 10, but South Street Souvlaiki isn't open on Mondays. I debated waiting until tomorrow. I think it was nice, in the end. I need to go out more. I can't think of the last time I went to a club. The Wednesday night thing is really a no-go, but there are other events, on other nights. I feel so asocial living in the suburbs. I also have no idea how to find out what's going on (who's playing, where). I used to know, but I think I found out via osmosis. Now.. it's like a void.

This weekend should be nice. Planning on a hike. So far, the group I'm going with is all women. It's overnight camping (in a campground) one night, then hike the next day. I think it'll be nice. I want to get Marshmallows and Chocolates (we're women!).

Ripping song 5 of 14 of album 2.. then.. I can listen! I want to turn vinyl into mp3s. I have vinyl I wanna listen to, but don't want to scratch it. Suggestions?

P.S. the MS ride is in 2 weeks!!!

Man, trying to get organized is very time consuming. I spent like $120 at k-mart getting some plastic bins and shelves to organize all the junk I've got. I'm working towards utilizing my desk (the half without the computer). I sorted the big closet, and gave homes to the camping/caving eq. More shelves. I have 2 unused bins in there! I'm not sure what I'll fill them with. I have two empty trunks, too. I have one trunk and 1 large bin that have stuff I've saved over the years. I wonder if I'll ever go through them, or if I'll just keep moving them from apartment to apartment.

I'm also trying to get rid of stuff I don't need, but that may be functional, and worth donating (or trying to sell on craigslist?). Thus far, what I'm willing to part with it pretty insignificant. Landline telephone stuff (I don't foresee buying a landline again). Some textbooks for courses I'm not interested in (like that ethics class). That's about it so far.

I've got two wines in the works, now. I have a Borgon(Something) Rouge that I just started on Thursday. I haven't really been good at keeping the temperatures in range. But, that's a cheap wine that should be ready to drink soon. Less than a month to make, and at least 1 month to age. The Savaignon Cabernet Merlot thing won't be ready for like 6 months, at least.
