Wow, my LJ seemed busy tonight. It seems like there were new posts every time I refreshed the page! Life is good. I helped Raequel move today. I'm hoping it was good training for the MS tour later this month. It was raining pretty hard, but I think I was more wet from sweat.
There was also a reminder of how much a pain in the butt it is to move a lot of stuff, so I got a bit of energy to clean some of my apartment. I tried to clear some clutter a few weeks ago. It's amazing how little actually disappears from a box or two _FULL_ of paper (usually junk mail I decide later that I don't want, also class notes). Scary how much stuff isn't yet sorted or thrown away. But, right now I think I can look at the piles of stuff and have a better understanding of how much space they'll take up in a moving truck.
I'm still trying to find things to learn before I start nursing school. I have NCLEX study guides, and a pack of 1000 Spanish Vocabulary cards - as well as some "medical spanish" books, and my old textbook from college. I asked on a nursing forum on what I should do, and many of the suggestions were to clean up and organize the house. I guess I'll try that, too!

I need to remember that it's not a good idea to eat chocolates at night. It's 1am, I'm tired, but not sleepy. So, I took a melatonin, which will leave me a bit groggy in the morning. Maybe I should take less than the 1 mg pill?
I'm a bit sore from the weekend, and have a hard time convincing myself to bike. It really sucks, I need to get back into the swing of it. It just makes me overall feel better when I stay active and bike commute. Plus, I think my belly has increased in dimensions. Bad belly!
Wow, I totally just realized it was Tuesday. Tomorrow is Wednesday! Soon, Friday, and another week is passed. I'm not sure what the excitement of passing weeks is for, since I'll get to the end eventually, regardless. Somehow, I just think of time as the stuff that passes until I start nursing school. I really need to get a bit more organized in that front by filling out my FAFSA forms, etc. I think they're mandatory for school, and I need to fill one out this year for next year's spring/summer quarters.
Wow, I think that's enough rambling, and the melatonin is kicking in!
My MS ride is in just a few weeks! Please donate if you can:

Had a nice day today. Aaron and I went to Ridley Creek State Park and wandered around the white trail. I carried my backpack with 4 gallons of water. About 3/4+ through the trail, I got us onto the wrong yellow trail. So, we didn't complete the 4 mile white trail, and tacked on a mile or so by going the wrong way. Regardless, it was fun. We got home, and i didn't even take a nap. I really gotta do that kinda thing more often. I'm not sure how good of practice it will be, since this trail only had a few hundred feet of elevation, rather than the 1000+ that I've seen elsewhere, but it worked. Aaron just downloaded a free app onto my iPhone that should track stuff like elevation and speed. He even traveled 0.01 miles while sitting at his computer - I feel quite sure of the program's accuracy.
Now, I need to decide to go running or not.. Running is good for you, but I already hiked 5ish miles with a nearly 40 lb pack. Decisions decisions.

So, I added the poison to my wines. Just the yeastie killers and some stuff to 'clear' it. In 8 days, I should rack it. Pain in the butt, since i don't have a spare 6 gallon carboy. I guess I can rack, and rack again. Very exciting stuff. For the (boring) numbers, my current BRIX is 7, so the new SG is .994. Still not gunna be very alcoholic (11.5%). I think I make weak wines. Using this site:

So, this wine will take forever to age... Like a year. And I've only got 11 bottles and 1/2 gallon of the Shiraz I made.. I am probably due to make a new wine. Something that ages quickly.
Otherwise, today was uneventful. Grocery shopping.
